
26 year old Dylan Harrison of Dudley, Georgia. End of Watch Saturday, October 9 , 2021.
Investigators believe Harrison was ambushed on the first day of his new job as a part time patrol officer for the Alamo, Georgia police department. It’s thought the 43 year old suspect shot and killed Harrison in retaliation for the tasing and arrest of an associate hours earlier in a parking lot. Harrison saw a man commit a traffic violation, approached him. There was an altercation and the suspect was tased and arrested. It’s thought the killing was retaliation for that arrest.
Harrison He was a full-time agent with the Oconee Drug Task Force in Eastman, Georgia, and has been in law enforcement since 2018. He leaves behind his wife and 6-month-old baby.
Harrison father had recently tried to get his son to leave law enforcement and get a job as an electrician. Dylan declined, saying he loved law enforcement and would not leave the carrer.
Dylan was described as a smiling, jovial, prankster who loved life and loved helping people.
